from beautiful homes planned with plenty of home office space. When you
do drive you are only 3 miles from two interstate interchanges.
The Furness family has farmed on 30th St. since the era when they were the only family using the road during the winter months. They would plow the snow to Red Arrow Highway.
In recent years more people moved into the area. As many developments appeared, the Furness' decided there was a better way to divide the land. Much thought and research was devoted to what people truly want. Many moved to the rural area only to find the area is not rural for very long. They found the roads to be unsafe for walking and biking. There is something bizarre about moving to the country, then getting into your car and riding to the mall to walk in a traffic free environment.
After much study, the Furness' decided to create a community in a manner which would be beautiful with safe areas to enjoy. The open areas of Furness Farms is at the rear of each lot. The paved nearly 2 mile pedestrian path is also at the back of each lot and runs around the entire perimeter of the Furness Farms development. The road serving the development is a private road and promises to have minimal traffic. There is a deed restriction that all motor vehicles will stop for pedestrians.
Furness Farms is a development that is environmentally friendly with safe areas for all ages to promote fitness and recreation.
